…blissful brownies from the heart
These heart-shaped brownies are festive, colorful and perfect for Valentine’s Day. The creamy filling is smooth and decadent next to the rich, chocolatey brownie. You can get as creative as you want with different combinations of brownie mixes and frosting flavors—but I decided to stick with a simple chocolate fudge brownie and a classic cream cheese frosting for the middle. Brownie sandwich anyone? :)

You can get as creative as you want with different combinations of brownie mixes and frosting flavors—but I decided to stick with a simple chocolate fudge brownie and a classic cream cheese frosting for the middle. Brownie sandwich anyone? :)
The Ingredients…*
1 box Duncan Hines Fudge Brownie Mix
3 eggs
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 can of Duncan Hines Cream Cheese Frosting
Red or Pink food coloring
Decorating sprinkles or candies
Wilton Silicone Heart Baking Cups (*I bought these at my grocery store for only $7.00--they will last forever!)
(or a heart-shaped cookie cutter)
1 box Duncan Hines Fudge Brownie Mix
3 eggs
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 can of Duncan Hines Cream Cheese Frosting
Red or Pink food coloring
Decorating sprinkles or candies
Wilton Silicone Heart Baking Cups (*I bought these at my grocery store for only $7.00--they will last forever!)
(or a heart-shaped cookie cutter)
The Directions…*
(1) Preheat oven to 350°
(2) Empty brownie mix, eggs, oil, and water in large bowl
(3) Stir until well blended
(4) Pour batter into greased silicone baking cups…
OR…pour into greased 9x9 square baking pan
(5) If using silicone cups, place directly onto baking sheet and place in oven. Bake for 22-24 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean
(*) If using 9x9 pan, bake according to box directions
(6) Allow time to cool before inverting the silicone cups upside down to remove brownie hearts; Allow additional time to cool. If using 9x9 pan, take heart-shaped cookie cutter and carefully stamp brownies throughout. Use fork or metal spatula to remove
(7) Using a sharp knife, slice brownie hearts in half, horizontally
(8) Mix frosting with 6-7 drips of food coloring, or until you reach the desired shade of pink
(9) Add a large dollop of frosting between each brownie sandwich; place top back on and sprinkle with candies; Enjoy :)
