The Directions…*
(1) Heat oven to 375° (or 350° for dark or nonstick cookie sheet)
(2) Stir softened butter and egg in medium bowl. Add in cookie mix and 1 cup of chocolate chips (for more flavor) until soft dough forms
(3) Spread flour over clean hands and countertops. Roll out dough evenly and stamp with heart-shaped cookie cutters
(4) Bake 8-10 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet (2 inches apart)
(5) Remove from oven and cool 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet.
(6) When cookies are completely cooled, pour the remaining cup of chocolate chips in microwave safe bowl. Heat on high for 30 seconds and remove to stir morsels; Heat an additional 30 seconds, or until morsels are completely melted
(7) Dip edges of cookies in melted chocolate and sprinkle with candies if desired. Place finished cookies on wax paper to harden. Wrap up and give to your special valentine…but don’t forget to “test” a few of them first ;)
